Our Values

Love at the Center

At UUCF, our shared values guide how we welcome one another, care for our community, and work together for a more just and compassionate world.

Our Shared Values

Faith grounded in love, curiosity, justice, and care.

At UUCF, our faith is grounded in love, curiosity, justice, and care for one another and the wider world.

Unitarian Universalism is a living tradition, which means we continue to grow, learn, and respond to the world around us. Our faith does not ask everyone to believe the same things. Instead, it invites us to ask meaningful questions, honor each person's dignity, and work together to build a more loving and just community.

In 2024, Unitarian Universalists adopted new shared language to describe the values at the heart of our faith. These values are all centered around Love:

Centered Around

Love

Love holds these values together and calls us into deeper welcome, care, courage, and accountability.

Interdependence

We honor the interdependent web of all existence and acknowledge our place in it.

Pluralism

We are all sacred beings, diverse in culture, experience, and theology.

Justice

We work to be diverse multicultural Beloved Communities where all feel welcome and can thrive.

Transformation

We adapt to the changing world.

Generosity

We cultivate a spirit of gratitude and hope.

Equity

We declare that every person is inherently worthy and has the right to flourish with dignity, love, and compassion.
